    Description

Historian Janos Wimpffen's massive, award-winning, two-volume history of five decades of long-distance racing, covering the World Sportscar, Grand Touring, and Manufacturers Championships events from 1953 through 1999. Every event, every entrant, complete and accurate results.
This massive two volume set, which is presented in a cloth covered slip case, is regarded by many experts as the most comprehensive racing history ever produced. Janos Wimpffen, who is the historian for the Bruce McCaw automotive collection, has meticulously gathered tens of thousands of facts for this complete history of championship sports car racing in Europe and the USA since 1953. The book is published as two volumes containing over 2250 pages of stories, race results, statistics and driver listings and profiles, course maps, photos, chassis numbers and other points of interest uncovered over his many years of research.
This set is in 'as new' condition, no tears, writing, marks, stains of any kind.  It was purchased new by me for 99.  It can be bought on Amazon for that price or on EBAY for 25 to 75.  I am offering my copy for 9.00 plus shipping.  As this is below market and well below my cost, please don't waste your time with lower bids.
Shipping will be at cost (no handling or other charges) once I know the destination.  The set is heavy so shipping will not be cheap.
    Happy to answer any questions!
