Vintage Bakelite & Cut Steel & Wood Look Fashion Dress Clips (2)

PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!!!...
Nice pair of 1.75" long vintage plastic dress clips from mom's fashion accessories collection. One is yellow/orangeish bakelite with cut steel highlights/center bar and circular end pieces. The other clip was made to look like wood but it is actually plastic. What is different about these that I have not come across in Mom's stuff is that the clips on the backs of both of these are not spring loaded. They do have "teeth/prongs" on the metal clips for gripping but do not snap open/closed like the other dress clips mom had. You just put pressure on them to close them in place. It seems to me that eventually after being used several times that the metal clips would just end up breaking off from metal fatigue.?? They are not marked as to who made them. They are in pretty nice shape. There is some corrosion/rust on the metal clip on the wood one.
