    Description

Rare vintage communist-era election propaganda poster from Czechoslovakia. Graphic advertises upcoming elections, "Volby." English translation of Czech text: "We vote for candidates of the National Front -- we vote for socialism and peace!"
Overall good vintage condition. Top left corner has a very small chip, and a crease mark. Obviously visible water damage along right margin (please examine detailed photos). Other spots where color has rubbed off are at bottom right corner, a tiny spot at bottom left corner, a little spot directly underneath the large white "V," and on the deep red "V" at top left. Colors are otherwise very bright. Attractive combination of red, orange, and white on a light grey background.
Made from a unique material called "DrevoPlast," a combination of wood pulp and plastic. It's strong and slightly flexible (i.e. not flexible enough to be rolled).
    Ready to hang.
    Measures 23.5" high x 16.5" wide.
Made in Novy Jicin, Czechoslovakia. Purchased in early 1990s Czechoslovakia, when items from the communist era were still available.
Ideal for any Cold War era Eastern Bloc history enthusiast. Perfect office decor for an instructor of East Central European politics, history, etc.
    Please see photographs.
    *Must be shipped flat.
I am happy to combine shipping if you purchase more than one of these Czechoslovak posters [2 are listed].
